Every listing shows its policy before you pay. Here's exactly what each one means, so there are no surprises if your trip shifts.

The three policies

Flexible

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before check-in. Cancel inside that window and you're refunded for unused nights.

Moderate

Free cancellation up to 5 days before check-in. After that, the first night is non-refundable.

03

Firm

Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking, as long as check-in is more than 14 days away.

How to cancel

    Open your reservation

    Go to Trips, choose the stay, and select Cancel reservation.

    Review your refund

    We show the exact amount you'll get back based on the listing's policy and timing — before you confirm.

  3. 03

    Get refunded

    Approved refunds return to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

What if the host cancels?+

You're fully refunded, and we'll help you find a comparable home for your dates.

Are there cases for a full refund regardless of policy?+

Yes. Our Rebooking & Refund policy covers serious issues like a listing that's not as described or unsafe to occupy.

Do you charge a cancellation fee?+

No. OpenLofts never adds its own cancellation fee — refunds follow the listing's policy only.
